Jason Pemberton-Billing is an experienced education professional, having worked extensively in both university and college sectors.  During 10 years at the University of Salford he became Associate Head of School before moving into the college sector, initially as Head of School at Blackpool and The Fylde College.  Now as Dean of Higher Education at Croydon College he is responsible for the strategic and operational management of an extensive portfolio of HE along with a large Access provision.  He is an active member of the academic community being external examiner at various universities, member of many validation panels and previously a QAA reviewer. 
 
Prior to working in education he had a successful career in marketing and account management working amongst others for Dorma the home furnishing company dealing with clients such as Marks & Spencer and British Home Stores. Returning to study in his late twenties higher education was a transformational experience leading to a second career, and Jason is now passionate about the opportunities education brings at all levels.
