Ros was a student on an adult education course when she developed her passion for learning. With no formal qualifications she began to grow because insightful leaders and managers empowered her to extend her skills and abilities. The impact of these interventions enabled her to begin a career that would result in becoming an inspirational leader achieving a BA (Hons) degree and subsequently a MSc in Education and Training Management. She believes that her own learning journey and the influence of great advocates enables her to become an effective leader, motivating teams to significantly improve the learning experience for others during adversity and fundamental change.
Currently working as Head of Adult and Community Learning in West Sussex Ros is passionate about high quality adult learning and the benefits of developing a workforce fit for the future. She has a track record for achieving good organisational results, creating opportunities for individuals to aspire and succeed and driving forward innovation.
Ros has been working alongside leaders and managers when delivering hot topic seminars nationally. She has covered a broad range of current issues and supported people to embrace change, evolving sustainable solutions common to the sector.
Additionally, Ros is broadcasting a weekly radio programme aimed at enabling individuals and groups to pass on their learning, knowledge and skills to others via the radio and internet. The programme also recruits volunteers, develops their role and provides new skills for intergenerational learning and entry into employment and enterprise.
