FE Funding and Landscape: loans, freedoms, flexibilities and funding
12/09/2011
Date: Monday 19 September 2011
Time: 12:30 to 15:40
Venue: NIACE Renaissance House, 20 Princess Road West, Leicester LE1 6TP
Professionals working in FE – and any individuals with an interest in lifelong and adult learning - can gain vital insights into the implications of latest Government reforms at a major seminar organised by NIACE.
Entitled FE Funding and Landscape, the event reflects how colleges are at the centre of policy changes that are likely to have a dramatic impact on the entire sector over the coming years.
It comes hard on the heels of the Government consultation New Challenges, New Chances – Next Steps in Implementing the Further Education Reform Programme which was launched in August. The consultation sets out proposals for taking forward strategies unveiled with the publication of Skills for Sustainable Growth and Investing in Skills for Sustainable Growth last November.
This seminar will enable participants to explore:
• how the policy changes will impact on the FE sector in terms of freedom, fairness and responsibilities;
• the implications of Level 3 fee loans for learners and FE institutions;
• the development of new approaches to higher education delivery; and
• the impact the proposals will have on widening participation and progression for adults.
The seminar will take place on Monday 19 September at NIACE Renaissance House in Leicester. Reserve a place.
