LSIS Intervention service extended to include a wider range of providers
10/01/2012
LSIS is extending the reach of its dedicated performance intervention service to address the need for improvement among satisfactory but not improving providers and those at risk of declining.
The service will now support organisations that want to improve their grades and success rates to above national benchmarks, as well as those organisations deemed to be underperforming after inspection.
To reflect the new wider reach and purpose of the Sector Support Service it has been renamed and will now be called the Improvement and Development Service (IDS).
“For nearly six years we have helped many organisations to achieve significantly improved levels of performance through our dedicated support,” said Margaret Adjaye, Head of Quality. “By extending this support to a wider range of providers it will significantly bolster improvement in critical areas identified by Ofsted, the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills, the Skills Funding Agency and our sector partners generally.”
Further details on the IDS and associated support services, together with information on the full range of Skills Funding Agency supported providers now eligible for this LSIS service, are available from the LSIS website.
