Make a difference in Make It Count Week

12/09/2011

LSIS is supporting Make It Count Week, a new initiative from learndirect to inspire more people and businesses to sign up to learning.

Running from 12 to 18 September, the week is part of a year-long campaign designed to encourage people to acquire the skills and the qualifications they need to improve their job prospects and life chances.

Underpinned by extensive press and social media coverage, including a strategic partnership with the BBC, the campaign has a target of inspiring 10,000 people during Make It Count week alone – and 215,000 people over the course of the year.

It has been launched in support of the Government’s commitment to upskilling the workforce and enabling more people to return to the jobs market.

LSIS is among many stakeholders backing Make It Count Week. Others include the National Apprenticeship Service and Centrepoint.

Further information about the campaign is available from learndirect.
