New Year Conference heralds new ways of working for senior leaders and managers
27/08/2010
A conference, which will focus on radical solutions to the complex problems faced by senior leaders and managers will take place on January 18th 2011 hosted by the Learning and Skills Improvement Service (LSIS)
The one-day event will help senior leaders and managers look at ways of building resilience in the workplace and give them the chance to engage with each other amid a series of seminars, round-table discussions and presentations by guest speakers .
The event will build on any thinking and announcements which emerged from the AoC conference in November 2010 and provide the ideal opportunity for practical planning for a way forward.
Delegates can expect to find the conference challenges their thinking and steers them towards greater personal and organisational resilience.
David Collins, LSIS Chief Executive, said the conference would offer a radically fresh approach to developing the collective understanding and learning needed today. “It will help turn the words of others into relevant action for ourselves.
“If we are going to do things differently, we need to develop ourselves differently too. This conference plans to do exactly that.”
Linda Simpson, Head of Leadership and Management at LSIS, said, “Delegates will be engaged in structured sessions designed to help them make sense of change as it unfolds.”
The event will also explore how to build resilience in an organisation as well as looking at new and renewed ways of working in a world where survival is key.
The cost of the conference is £150 per delegate although organisations with an LSIS account may use that to pay for the event.
Delegates should have their LSIS account number ready before they
enrol.
