Supporting the supporters - learner voice events

02/02/2012

LSIS, in partnership with the NUS, is holding a series of learner involvement regional network meetings entitled 'Growing the learner voice: Improving learner and organisational performance'. The regional network meetings will build on and complement the 'learner involvement excellence programme' and are an ideal opportunity to meet other managers and practitioners in order to discuss common issues, share good practice and hear about the latest developments.

Participants will have the opportunity to meet other practitioners and managers, create your own peer support group to share ideas and gain an insight into the work of other providers who can show impact from increased learner voice involvement.
They are being held at the following venues:
London - Waltham Forest College, Thursday 23 February
Midlands - Telford College of Arts and Technology, Tuesday 6 March

LSIS’s  highly popular learner voice events are being extended after the summer because the February and March dates were oversubscribed. The 'learner voice practitioner excellence introductory programme' is designed for learner involvement practitioners within any learning organisation, workplace or community.
The four-day programme is aligned to the National Occupational Standards and is linked to LSIS's plans to build on its successful model of support for Learning and learner support by adding to or enhancing elements of it. Contact Geraldine Burns for more information.
