A Brave New World: the new Ofsted Inspection Framework
One day event, Wednesday 24 March 2010, West Midlands
LSIS has sponsored ALP to run this one-day event in collaboration with Ofsted which is aimed at work based learning providers.

Joint event with Holex on Current Inspection Framework 25 and 26 March 2010
LSIS will also be running a joint event with Holex on the new inspection regime.

Review of Governance and Strategic Leadership in English FE

The project reviewed governance practices in colleges, private work-based learning providers and adult and community learning providers separately, and the report provides a valuable insight into the governance practices within each area as well as across the sector as a whole. LSIS and the AoC hope it will act as a catalyst for discussion.  Read more

LSIS opens second innovation funding round

The Learning and Skills Improvement Service (LSIS) has opened the second round of bidding for its flexibility and
innovation fund.

Learning and skills providers - such as colleges and work-based learning organisations - may bid for funding,
individually or in consortia, of up to £90,000 for projects which are innovative and have the potential to drive up standards across all providers in the learning and skills sector. Read more.
