We have introduced charges for the majority of our improvement services as part of the government’s stated policy to position LSIS as a sector-owned body. Charges also help towards the goal that colleges and training institutions will be able to commission the quality and improvement support services they want. They will also give providers more control over what improvement services they wish to ‘buy’ from LSIS.  In addition LSIS has also given providers who had direct contracts with the former Learning and Skills Council (LSC) during 2009-10 an LSIS Account providing them with an amount of virtual credit to spend on LSIS services.
