LSIS has responded to the Equality Act 2010 act with the following report. This report outlines how the Learning and Skills Improvement Service is complying with these requirements. It summarises how LSIS intends to move forward over the coming months, to not only meet the duties of the Act, but to be an exemplar of good practice both to our staff and users of our services.
LSIS is committed to creating an inclusive, responsive and supportive working and learning environment for everyone.  We are determined to develop and sustain an internal culture and services which create equal outcomes for our staff, learners and colleagues within the FE and skills sector.
Our objective is to ensure everyone irrespective of background is treated equally, with dignity, value and respect.  Our policies and equality strategy (which is being developed) will focus on making equality real and central to how we work as an organisation.
