The stimulus for this short paper derives from the authors’ involvement in more than a dozen SWOT visits over the past two years to adult learning providers. An approach initially designed to give providers objective feedback on their organisational development. Additional insights have been drawn from consultancy assignments for and conversations with adult learning leaders.
