Using the LSIS online booking system

The LSIS online booking system provides an easy way to find out about, book and pay for events offered by LSIS. The guide below gives advice about how to get the most from the online booking system.

How do I find out about LSIS events?

Click the Events link at the top of any webpage on the LSIS website. This will take you to the events page which provides links to the online booking system, our terms and conditions, help and other resources related to LSIS events.

The online booking system allows you to:

  • browse our list of upcoming events by name, region and start date;
  • register, log in and book a place for events online; and
  • pay for events through our secure system by LSIS Account credits, credit card or sales invoice (where applicable - minimum transaction of £500 applies to invoicing).

Each event page shows further information on the event including start and end times, the number of available places and details of any workshops or sessions.

How do I register and login?

You will need to create a customer registration in order to be able to book and pay for events. This is a straightforward process and you will only need to do this once.

To register as a new customer:

  • Click on the 'Log in' option available on any page of the online booking system.
  • Submit your email address in the 'New customer' section of the log in page and select 'Register'.
  • You will then shortly receive an automated email which will provide a secure link for you to complete your registration and to create your password.

To log in:

  • Click on the 'Log in' option available on any page of the online booking system.
  • Enter your registered email address and password.
  • If you wish your details to be remembered on future visits tick the 'Keep me logged in' option.

Note: you should not tick the 'Keep me logged in' option if you are using a public or shared computer. Other users may then be able to log in using your saved details and book events using your details.

Once logged in, you will be able to update contact information that LSIS holds about you.

Which email address should I use for my log-in and enrolling delegates?

The booking system is intended for individuals rather than organisations, and as such the email address used in the registration process should be unique to you. It should be a business email address.

How do I recover my password?

If you can't remember your password, simply click Log in and select the forgotten password option. You will then need to provide your registered email address and a temporary password will then be emailed to you within a few minutes.

How do I book a place on an event?

To book on an event click the Enrol now option (where available) in the events list and the event details page. If you are not already logged in, you will be asked to log in or create a new customer registration (see How do I register and log in?). Once you are logged in, you will be able to confirm the details of your booking and add it to your shopping basket. You can then either select the shopping basket option to pay for that event or browse and add other events before paying.

Once you have completed your booking, you will receive a booking confirmation by email.

Registering your interest in fully booked events

Where events are fully booked, this will be indicated on the list of events. However, you can still register your interest in attending - just click on the event link and select the Register interest option. You will be added to a waiting list and contacted if a place becomes available. You will not need to make any payments until your place is confirmed.

What payment options are available?

You have three payment options:

  • Pay by LSIS Account credit (if your organisation has an LSIS Account with credits available);
  • Pay online by debit or credit card payment; or
  • Request payment by sales invoices (minimum transaction level of £500 applies).

Part payments by different payment methods can also be made (for example, £50 by credit card and £100 by LSIS Account credit payment).

If you are paying by LSIS Account credit you will need to have your LSIS Account number ready. If you are paying by debit or credit card you will be taken to the secure RBS WorldPlay website to complete this part of the transaction.

Please note: LSIS does not retain any debit or credit card details; payment is dealt with separately by the dedicated RBS WorldPay service.

How do I enrol a different delegate?

The online booking system allows you to either register yourself or other colleagues onto events. To register your colleagues you will need to login into the booking system as yourself. Once you are logged in:

  • Find the event you want to book on and click on 'Enrol Now'.
  • To change the delegate attending, click on 'Change Delegate' and find the relevant delegate from the list and click on 'Use Contact'.
  • If the delegate isn't already listed, click on 'Create New Contact', fill out the delegate's details and click 'Create Contact'.

Once you have completed your booking, you and the delegate you have enrolled will receive a booking confirmation by email.

How do I cancel an enrolment?

You will need to login in to the online booking system to be able to cancel an enrolment. Once you are logged in:

  • Click on 'My Events' then 'Attending Events'
  • Find the event that you wish to cancel and click on 'Cancel Delegate'
  • Select that you have read the terms and conditions once read, and click 'Confirm'

Once you have confirmed you wish to cancel, you and any guests attached to that enrolment will receive an email confirming your cancellation.

How do I change a delegate?

You will need to login in to the online booking system to be able to change the name of a delegate attending an event. Once you are logged in:

  • Click on 'My Events' then 'Attending Events'
  • Find the event that you wish to amend and click on 'Change Delegate'
  • Find the delegate from the list and click on 'Select Delegate'
  • If the delegate isn't listed, click on 'New Contact as Delegate' and enter details

Once you have confirmed the delegate change, you and the new delegate will receive an email confirming the change of enrolment.

How do I enrol a guest?

There are certain events you are able to bring a guest with you as part of the event, this will be detailed in the event description.

After you have selected the main delegate, there is an option to select a guest.

  • Select a guest from the drop down list and click on 'Add Guest to this Booking'
  • If the guest isn't already listed, click 'Create a New Contact', fill out the delegates details and click 'Create Contact'.

Once you have completed your booking, you and the guest you have enrolled will receive a booking confirmation by email.

Invite-only events

There are certain events which are invite-only, so unless you have received an invitation inviting you to attend, you won't be able to enrol for the event.

You will need to be logged in to the online booking system to enrol. Once you are logged in, the event should show as 'Enrol Now' rather than Invite-only.

If you believe that you should be eligible to attend an event, but it's still showing as Invite-only once you have logged in to the booking system, please contact us.

Troubleshooting Tips

Why can’t I find information about my organisation’s LSIS Account holders?

The main possible reasons for not being able to find out information about the LSIS Account holder(s) on our system are:

  • you are attached to an organisation that doesn’t have an LSIS Account. 
  • you are attached to an organisation that is eligible for an LSIS Account but has not  been activated it (so we have no account holders on our record).
  • if you had to create (instead of find) your organisation when initially registering with the system, then the organisation will not be automatically attached to an LSIS Account, or any account holders. We recognise that there are some provider sites and campuses that we do not have on our system and yet may be (part of) an organisation that is eligible or has an LSIS account.

If you wish us to connect your profile with an organisation that has an LSIS Account, or if you have any issues or queries please contact us directly, and we will do everything we can to support.

If you are enrolling others on to events you will need to provide separate unique email addresses for each delegate.

What do I do if I am unable to make a cash payment online?

We are aware that some providers have restrictions on card payment facilities. In these instances, please contact the support team directly to complete your booking on: 02476 627953.
